alfabet Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools Magic Quadrant 2009
Evaluation Based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Dec. 8, 2009 — alfabet, the leading software provider in business IT management, today announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders Quadrant in the "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools" report (Gartner, Inc. "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Application Tools" by Robert A. Handler and Chris Wilson, November 12, 2009).
According to the report, “Leaders have a broad range of capabilities to support EA, combined with the ability to deliver these capabilities to a diverse group of stakeholders.”
“We are pleased to be positioned in the Leaders Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture, however we believe EA is only one part of the puzzle,” said Erik Masing, CEO and president of alfabet. “Our true strengths lie in providing information driven business IT management capabilities that address the collaborative needs of a broader business & IT stakeholder community. We go beyond traditional EA tools by providing stakeholders transparency into how IT and business information, processes and roles are changing and need to be managed to stay in line with changing business priorities. With our solution, clients have greater decision making power and can more closely synchronize IT capabilities with organizational strategy and requirements. This can amount to a significant competitive advantage such as reduced operational costs, more accurate planning and productivity.”
The report finds that “despite the recent challenging economic climate, the adoption of EA tools has continued to increase significantly, with most of the vendors reporting revenue growth of greater than 20% in 2008, as well as growth throughout 2009.” Meanwhile alfabet’s revenue growth has sky-rocketed in the past two years with growth rates well above this rate.
