Introduction to planningIT

In order to have a strategic impact and advance IT supported business plans, a solid business-IT management platform that integrates and manages processes, information, roles and technology is essential. This paper illustrates why neither modelling tools nor program portfolio management tools alone can achieve the task. It briefly introduces the concept behind planningIT’s unique integrated and collaborative approach to IT planning.

planningIT / CentraSite

In implementing advanced Service Oriented Architecture solutions, enterprises are challenged by many issues: the full integration of existing applications and systems, restructuring the organization into business domains, identifying SOA -relevant business services, composing SOA processes and measuring SOA performance. Enterprises realize that their SOA efforts will provide a significant return on investment when basic enterprise architecture and SOA governance procedures are firmly in place. The planningIT/CentraSite solution from alfabet and Software AG provides a closed-loop process for planning, designing and running SOA infrastructures.
